This week you begin working to assemble your
literature review for your mock research proposal. Use the Literature Review
Spreadsheet (Excel File) as a starting point. You are welcome to use
the spreadsheet I have provided or to create your own organizational system. If
you create your own organization system, you must include all the categories in the provided spreadsheet.
Find six scholarly, peer-reviewed sources that pertain to your research topic
that are:
Empirical
studies (primary sources). Again, bear in mind you are looking for
research studies, not opinion articles, best practice articles, or
generalized/summarized research. You need to find actual studies to review.
Published no
more than ten years ago. Remember to limit the date of publication
range when you search for studies. You may use historical or foundational
studies to add additional support to your paper if you would like to do so, but
this assignment requires a minimum of six recently published studies.
You are welcome to include more than six studies, but please be mindful of the
fact that we only have a week to accomplish this task. I do not want you to
bite off more than you can chew.
This assignment is worth 60 points, 10 points for each study detailed in your
spreadsheet. Points will be deducted for works that are not peer-reviewed,
works published longer than 10 years ago, missing information in the spreadsheet,
and/or incorrect use of APA format for your citation in the APA column.
