Politically defined borders are becoming increasingly permeable, as the flow of money, goods, people, and culture have accelerated and magnified around the world due to increased mobility, affluence, and technology. In this second assignment, you will continue your academic discourse into the social problem you chose in Week 1. More specifically, you will discuss the impact of globalization on your chosen topic.

Include the following components in your assignment:
Discuss the dynamic nature of our world generally, as well as specifically in relation to your topic. Culture is constantly in a state of flux—as conditions change, cultural groups adapt.
Determine whether the following quote (and the ideology inherent within) is evident in the status of your chosen topic: “We live in a world that is simultaneously shrinking and expanding, growing closer and farther apart… National borders are increasingly irrelevant. And yet globalism is by no means triumphant. Tribalism of all kinds flourish. Irredentism abounds” (Attali, 1991, p. 117).
Compare and contrast at least two but no more than five different perspectives (cultural or otherwise) on your chosen topic.
Evaluate the impact of communication and technology on your chosen topic, considering how a global network might expand connections and result in greater interdependency.
Conclude with a reflection of how implicit and explicit social structures and processes at the individual, organizational, national, cultural, and/or global levels (values/beliefs/symbols, the family unit, educational or religious organizations/practices, access to natural resources and the factors of production, authority and governance bodies, etc.) impact the dynamics of your chosen topic in both positive and negative ways.
