During the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, the defendant Mr. Rittenhouse was a young 18-year-old young male who was charged with murdering three people in Wisconsin during a riot. During the trial, the prosecution began to question the defendant with a line of questions over the defendant’s constitutional right to invoke silence after his arrest. (Defendant invoked rights and did not give a statement after being arrested without his attorney)
Now the prosecutor stated that he was trying to establish that the testimony heard during the trial influenced what he was saying on the stand when telling his side of the story for the first time publicly.
